• CANOEING & KAYAKING — LAZY RIVER PADDLES

Open to anyone with their own kayak or canoe. Jeff and Scott will be guiding paddle expeditions on Thursday afternoon and a longer trip on Friday. If interested in joining us and not camping, please read Day Guest Information. Jeff will contact you by e-mail to share our plans for each day's paddle. (Weather permitting of course) Scott will have an extra 2 person canoe which floats the cooler for Friday lunch break. Jeff will have an extra kayak too. Ask if available.

Thursday - 3-4 hrs (Slow water - no obstructions)
A short scenic paddle, location to be determined

Friday - 5-6 hrs (Slow water - no obstructions)
Scenic paddle down the Pestigo River below the rapids into Caldron Falls

We'll hook paddlers up to some beautiful places to explore on your own.

• WHITEWATER RAFTING

Peshtigo River — Saturday Noon Trip
Must be at Kosir's office by 11:30 for equipment and safety orientation.

The stretch of Roaring Rapids we raft is billed as the midwest's longest continuous whitewater, 2.3 miles of good gradient and rapids. The major drops are named "1st drop," "2nd drop," "3rd drop," "Five Foot Falls," "Horserace," and "S-curve."

Menominee River — Sunday 10 AM Trip (High Adventure - Class II-IV)
Must be at Kosir's Menominee Outpost by 9 AM for equipment and safety orientation.
Check in time at the Menominee Outpost is one hour before scheduled trip time.
The Outpost is located on Hwy 8 just off Hwy 141 toward Norway MI — A 45 min drive from our campsite. Please plan accordingly if joining us for the day. Campers will enjoy an early breakfast, then head out. Must be at least 16 — More Info >>

Protective Gear: Wet suit rental is available for an additional fee.

NOTICE: If unsure and considering coming up just for the day and chancing on rafting the Peshtigo Saturday June 5th, keep in mind there is no guarantee there will be openings on our rafting trip at noon. There is however a 3 PM trip. It's OK to ask after May 1st, but because Kosir's has been booked on this weekend one month in advance in the past, we encourage you to not delay registration because of what the water level or weather might be that day. If rafting the Menominee on Sunday June 6th, registration and payment must be received by March 31st. Registration form along with payment must received by Saturday April 30th if rafting the Peshtigo Saturday, June 5th.

• ACCOMMODATIONS

CAMPING

Motor Homes & Camper Trailers
Please call Kosir's at (715) 757-3431 to arrange a campsite that would better suit your RV. We have no power or water hookups, or space in the group site.
Tell them you are with the Fox Valley Singles Group.

A modern, clean shower house is a short distance from any campsite.
Quarters are needed to shower. We will have a few rolls if needed.

No cohabitation in the group campsite. Please don't be put-off or left-out, instead, be respectful of our values and reserve a private campsite on your own by contacting Kosir's at (715) 757-3431. We encourage meals to be prepared and eaten together in the group site as a community function.

Regretfully, cabins are not an option this year.

Quiet time starts at 11:00 PM.

MEALS

Friday night Chili Dump
Bring a quart or more of your favorite concoction.

Saturday night Potluck
Bring a dish to pass. John Lake is stocking his freezer with steaks for the main entree'. Rafters return around 3. Meal preparation will begin shortly thereafter and should be ready to serve around 6. If bringing a preferred entree, let us know and we'll toss it on the grill at just the right time.

Since taste and diets vary, campers and visitors are encouraged to bring their foods, beverages and snacks of choice and are welcome to cook or warm up stuff at any time. Except Friday and Saturday dinner, you are on your own for all other meals.

However, Jeff and Scott enjoy cooking for the group. We have found this to be easier, more fun, and much cheaper for everyone over the years and has certainly been appreciated. Breakfast is usually a group effort where food items are shared. Pancakes, eggs, and potatoes are supplied by FVS because... well, it's what we do and we don't want anyone to go hungry. We do eat well, and try to keep it healthy.

Although we ask nothing for what we bring to the table, we'd be grateful for a free will offering towards food.

Breakfast preparations begin when Scott has the coffee ready :-)

Grills & Cooking Utensils
A gas grill and a charcoal grill will be provided for your convenience along with utensils for food preparation and cooking whenever needed.

• FISHING
  This weekend is also Wisconsin's Free Fishing Weekend, June 5 & 6. A fishing license is not required to enjoy a great fishing experience. Scott is a trained volunteer Angler and Aquatic Resources Education Instructor for the DNR and can get you hooked on some great fishing opportunities. Gear provide if needed, but do let him know you want to fish before June 1st.

• PARENTS: Youth Welcome

Youth Camping
We want to give parents an opportunity to engage their children in an outdoor experience that may not otherwise exist. Some conditions apply.

Youth Rafting
Children 12 - 14 may raft the Peshtigo if river conditions allow. Youth 15 and older may raft the Peshtigo without parent if certain conditions are met. Parent or legal guardian must sign Kosir's waiver for rafters under the age of 18. To raft the Menominee River, the minimum age is 16. Please call Kosir's for details.

• DAY GUESTS:
  You are invited to come up to: play volleyball, play on the water, socialize, and/or for dinner and the campfire. Let us know you'll be joining us and on which day(s) by filling out the registration form even if you are not camping or rafting. More on this >>
  
  We will gladly suggest some nice things to see and do in the area if not partaking in water recreation activities.

• PHOTOS:
  Photos are taken throughout the weekend, mostly for promotional reasons. We'd like to see everyone attending (even if just for the day) in the group photo(s) in front of Kosir's Rapid Rafts sign just prior to departing for the rafting trip at 11:45.
  
  Digital photos are posted on the Internet and shared with participants. If you DO NOT want to be pictured on the Internet, please let Scott know so you can be excluded or to blur the facial image prior to posting in the web gallery.

Rafting Photo's:
Professional photographer's set up at the major drops to get some breathtaking pictures. Relive your experience while sharing it with family and friends. As a group, passing a hat to gather funds, we purchase the DVD movie and individual photos.

• REGISTRATION

ONLINE and PRINTABLE FORM OPTIONS

Day Guests
Let us know you'll be joining us and on which day(s) by filling out the registration form even if not camping or Whitewater rafting. Note in the comment box names of others who will be visiting with you. Everyone visiting, canoeing or kayaking with us MUST complete the registration form.

IF Rafting
We must receive registration form along with full payment no later than March 31st if rafting the Menominee or doing package #1—the two-river special, and by April 30th if rafting the Peshtigo. Receipt of on-time payment is your only guarantee for securing your place on rafting trip(s). We pre-pay Kosir's these fees in advance to guarantee our group reservation in compliance of their policies.

IF Camping ONLY
Note on the registration form which day(s) you will camping. We have more leeway on payment for those camping only, NOT RAFTING.
We do ask for a firm commitment to attend.
Registration by May 2nd greatly appreciated.
Registration after May 2nd may be limited.
Payment in full due by May 31st.

NO REFUNDS AFTER MAY 2^nd
We understand things come up and minds change. Please call us in camp at 920-676-7243 or (920) 948-5753 if not coming up at the last minute or having trouble enroute so we don't worry needlessly.
