Who's up for a 4-6 hour paddle? Jeff Erz writes: |
I'm planning some paddles and want to get this one going on June 27th. Rich says if done later the black flies are bad on the Wolf. Also, it shouldn't be so hot and humid yet. This paddle will be approximately 10 miles, 4-6 hours. The put in is on Hwy F and the take out at Koepke park boat landing (for those of you who went on the last trip on the Wolf with Rich. It is where we put in). On this stretch of river these are the only two places to put in and take out. It is a very windy section on the Wolf.
Lets be in the water by 10am so we will meet at the Koepke boat landing at 9 am. I will have my trailer and we can load some kayaks on it and leave vehicles at Koepke. If anyone else has a trailer to haul please bring it. If you are late getting here, take Hwy M to Hwy F then right to the bridge OR you can take Hwy 187 North to Hwy F but this is a very windy road.
Bring something to eat on the trip, we will stop along the way to break and eat something. I will also bring my table-top gas grill so if anyone wants to have a little cook-out at the end we can.
Anyone wanting to go please email me and I will send you a map.
If you have any questions email me at WeRInEndTimes@yahoo.com. |
